My most recent project has been this stunning large dining table. When I saw it all orange and peeling at the back of an auction house I immediately saw its potential. I did not however realise quite how fantastic the wood would come up. After days of sanding it back the grain of the wood became more and more visible and then all it actually needed was a good coat of clear wax to show it off. I thought about painting the legs a fashionable bright green but actually when I tested the green and the grey it was the timeless grey that showed this table off to its best.
The table is 100% solid elm with lovely chunky legs. The style of table is from the 70’s and now fits into the vintage retro and industrial styles that are becoming more and more fashionable.

All of our vintage and antique items of furniture are old, often over 100 years old and will therefore show signs of use which we feel add to the character and appeal of the furniture. They will have knocks and scrapes consistent with age, many of them have sailed the seas and travelled to far continents carrying precious family possessions.
