Original antique pine blanket storage box dating back to the 1930s

When i found this box at a sale it had an old 1939 newspaper inside it.  To restore both the box and the newspaper I have used the technique 'decoupage' to line the bottom of the box.  A frozen passage of time.

The storage box also has original notes still on the top and many signs of its original life.

Antique pieces of furniture often have signs of a life previously lived and this only adds to their charm.
